Andrea Mead Lawrence, the only American skier to win two gold medals in the Olympics, passed away Tuesday. She succumbed to cancer at age 76 at her home in Mammoth Lakes, California, according to the New York Times. Lawrence started competing in the slalom as a ten-year-old.
